Course Description

The United States Department of Defense (“DoD“) estimates that at least 77,000 companies throughout the world handle Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”) while supplying goods and services as part of DoD’s supply chain.  DoD also estimates that every one of those companies will need a CMMC Level 2 Certification Assessment from a CMMC C3PAO.  Each C3PAO assessment team must include at least one Lead CMMC Certified Assessor (“CCA“), at least one other CCA, and a Quality Assurance (“QA“) person who is also a CCA.  Even with CMMC certification assessments only required every three years and a QA person able to provide services across more than one assessment at a time, the CMMC Ecosystem will need at least 1500 CCAs to meet the demand for assessors.  Given that some CCAs prefer to provide consulting and other services (i.e., they assist the defense contractors in preparing for an assessment rather than assessing the contractor), the actual number of assessors is likely to be greater than 2000.

The publication of the final version of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (“FAR“) Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI“) regulation will likely increase the demand for CCAs as the CMMC program may be embraced by other federal agencies.

This means there will likely be a strong demand for CCAs for a long time, making earning your CCA certification a strong career move.

Course Overview

Peak InfoSec’s 5-day CCA exam prep course provides an in-depth review of the CMMC program and the business and technical information required to become a successful CCA.  In addition to covering the information defined in the CMMC CCA Blueprint, we also walk through numerous real-world assessment scenarios to better prepare you for your role as a CCA.  It also walks students through CMMC Level 1 and Level 2 scoping, and provides an overview of the 110 requirements in NIST SP 800-171.  The course also covers in-depth technical and administrative perspectives from experienced Provisional Instructors and Lead CMMC Certified Assessors who are actively participating on NIST SP 800-171 assessments. 

After completing the course, you will be eligible to sit for the CCA exam.
